Exothermique support programs help students confidently navigate new beginnings, adapt to change, build resilience, and thrive in their school environment.

Schools play an important role not only in students’ academic development, but also in supporting their emotional well-being, confidence, and sense of belonging. This is especially important for students who are adapting to a new environment, culture, language, or educational system.
For many international and newly enrolled students, the transition can be accompanied by stress, uncertainty, social difficulties, and feelings of isolation. These challenges can affect both academic performance and overall well-being.
Our psychological support programs complement the work of schools by providing professional guidance and individualized support for students and their families. Together, we help students build resilience, develop social connections, and adjust successfully to their new environment, creating the foundation for academic achievement, emotional well-being, and long-term success.
Our approach is grounded in scientific research. In 2017, Dr. Maryna Melnychuk conducted a major doctoral study, Psychosocial Adaptation of Foreign Students in the Educational Process, which examined the psychological, social, and academic challenges faced by international students adapting to a new educational and cultural environment. As part of this research, the Migrants Psychosocial Maladjustment Scale was developed and validated as a specialized assessment tool for identifying adjustment difficulties among foreign students. Based on the findings of this study, Dr. Melnychuk developed a unique evidence-based approach to supporting international students, enabling the early identification of adaptation challenges and the implementation of targeted psychological interventions. The effectiveness of this methodology was confirmed through research and practical application, helping students adapt more successfully, enhance their well-being, strengthen social integration, and achieve greater academic success.

University Transition & Student Well-Being
Supporting Students Through Academic, Social, and Cultural Adjustment
Starting university is a major life transition that brings new academic demands, social expectations, and personal responsibilities. For international students, these challenges are often compounded by cultural adaptation, language barriers, homesickness, and separation from familiar support systems. This program helps students develop resilience, confidence, and practical coping strategies to successfully navigate university life and build a sense of belonging.
